Safety First (A safe and secure learning environment):

Proverb says – “When security sleeps, danger creeps”. With this motto, Eklakhi Kishalaya Vidyapith has started journey since 2015. Despite all the shortcomings and unavailability of essential resources blended with contemporary technological aids, our prime objective was to monitor the security of our school in terms of the premises, transportation and individual care of all students as well as teaching and non-teaching staffs. Hence the school boundary walls made high and tall to guard the trespassing, then the school premise has been covered under 24 hours CCTV surveillance, a security guard personnel has been deputed in the school gate during school hours to monitor the visitors footprints. Moreover fire extinguisher service has been installed recently equipped with modern technology to get rid of any adverse situation caused by fire and flame out of the blue. All the teaching and non-teaching personnel have been provided training on ‘what to do’ and ‘how to do’ situation. They, on their turn, are regularly taking weekly classes to share this information with the students in a predefined and prescribed manner. Besides, seminars on ‘what to do’ situation caused by earthquake or other natural calamities like flood, heavy shower and thunder-fall. Unlike the ‘Selfish Giant’ we feel free to allow students but not the trespassers anywhere in our school premises so that they may feel secure, safe, free to acquire knowledge which knows no boundary of cast or creed and where their heads are held high with no discrimination, phobia or panic.

Playgrounds (an outdoor play area with equipments for younger students):

Playground is one of the most essential for an educational institution and Eklakhi Kishalaya to provide the students 6000 square-feet area (both the yard and garden included) so that they freely play and interact with other students during play-hours. We are on the verge of acquiring another few acres of land just adjacent to the garden in order to accommodate our ever-increasing students years after years. The great monk, Swami Vivekanda had firmly said while establishing the Ramakrishna Math and Mission that education has nothing to do alone without physical exercise, sports, serving to the nation and self-belief; that’s why we always pay special attention to all the above spheres toward building the character, efficiency and power of thinking of every students in order to build a nation where ownership of a playground, how small it may be, is a must.

Sports facilities:

Sports play an integral part of a student’s life. Without it, we believe, no student can have an all round development in life. As proverb says, “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy”, sports have a very important role in the sphere of total development of a student and keeping this in the focus, we have arranged some equipments of some indoor and outdoor games like carom, ludo, football, skipping ropes, high iron bars, see-saw, badminton etc. Our teachers also play a very important role in assisting them to play ‘Kho-Kho’, ‘Kabadi’ and keep a close eye to every student’s performance and injuries or wounds during playing, if any, by providing them first aids and ready-made topical medicines. That’s why, we have included the sports in our annual academic syllabus which is evaluated under ‘Physical and Health’ activity as referred and guided by the “Banglar Siksha Portal”, implemented beautifully by the West Bengal Government.

Computer Labs (equipped with computer and internet access for computer-based learning and research):

There is no denying the fact that today’s world is manifested and almost governed with technology where computers are largely being used to implement that. Starting from communication, processing, transportation, manufacturing, production, designing, real estate to the space administration, healthcare, research – everywhere the implementation of computer has become not only a fascination but also an utmost requirement. Children of modern world are becoming quite habituated seeing smart phones in almost every house throughout our country despite being how much remote place it might be. In this scenario, a student, while starting his/her primary education, must have to be undergone basic computer knowledge without which the student might be considered as obsolete or lagging behind something. As almost every secondary school, whether it may be a government undertaking or sponsored or aided and even in primary sections of private schools - all have implemented this computer-based learning and those who have not done yet are surely at the verge of the implementation. To keep pace with the modern education system and thereby boost their self-confidence and to make them fully competent for their future advancement, Eklakhi Kishalaya Vidyapith is promised to start computer-based learning and for this, it has appointed skilled professionals by establishing a computer lab, consisting of 10 computers quite couple of years earlier. We are getting a havoc response from the students as well as guardians, irrespective of their poor and BPL livelihood what has highly encouraged us to augment this education system successfully by hooks or crooks.
